Proud participants in over 30 Relay for Life events.

Performance Rider

Here is an exact copy of our performance rider.  The items below are what we ideally require from each event so that we can do our best.  Everything each event needs to know is included below.  At the end of the rider is the button to return to the previous page.

1 EVENT to supply two 8-foot banquet tables and two separate 15-Amp (minimum) power circuits. If building power is inadequate, a 4KW generator will suffice.
a Events that do not have enough power face the very real possibility of us not performing at all, as we cannot do a show without all of our equipment powered.

2 We will close our portion of the event at 8:00 PM and start loading our equipment to leave.
a It is the responsibility of the Event to have the oncoming entertainer ON SITE AND READY TO GO at that time.  We will not stay over.
b Due to liability reasons, we can no longer assist oncoming DJs with equipment or setup issues.

3 We Do Not Supply Wireless Microphones For Anybody.  We bring 2 corded microphones for the use of performers and speakers.
a If you wish to have cordless microphones for performers they must be supplied by ACS or the performer.

4 We bring and use our own equipment.  If the event is going to have sound equipment on site we need to know of this in advance.
a We reserve the right to deny use of our equipment to stage acts if we are not notified of this need in advance of the event.

5 When Possible we will utilize a low-power FM Stereo Transmitter so that campsites can tune into the stage activities on boomboxes and radios.
a It takes extra time to set up this equipment and there is no guarantee that it will be functional at the beginning of each event.
b We will not know what frequency we will be broadcasting on until we get the equipment up and running that day.  The transmitter is not guaranteed for every event.

6 Do Not schedule any announcement/meetings that require use of our sound system prior to our scheduled starting time.  Our system will not be available until then.

7 We program our own music and decide when we will/will not take requests.  At no time will we entertain an event dictating musical genres or timetables for us.

8 We do not bring a cassette player.  Please advise all performers of this as they would have to supply their own if their performance music is on tape.

8 We require a parking location within 25 feet of the stage without obstruction (i.e., no fence to cross) and need to leave our vehicles there throughout our time at the event.

10 We Cannot Accommodate Bands On Our Equipment.
a Bands should be notified to bring their own equipment.  Any band asking to use or hook up to our equipment will be flatly denied without exception.
b We do not assist in the setup, teardown, or troubleshooting of anyone else's equipment.

11 When doing site planning please take into account the sun setting in the west and try to NOT face the stage in this direction.  This will adversely affect our equipment.

12 ACS will be responsible for damage to our equipment through the fault of other performers, staff, volunteers, and attendees.

13 Any Event that cancels our participation after the posting of this schedule will be invoiced - and be expected to pay - full price for our services.

14 We require the last hour of our participation at any Relay for Life to be scheduled for our Group Dance Segment.

15 Please send us an event schedule as early as possible so that we may plan each event accordingly.

16 Please direct questions regarding The Jim & Lance Show through your ACS contact.
