Our third Making Stridesevent took place on Saturday, October 10,
2004. The
Jim & Lance
Show was asked to return this year
by our good friends at the American Cancer Society. This year the event
raised over $285,000 and had a total of over 5,500 walkers!
We were also in a different, much better location this year. Looking at
the sea of people in attendance at this event from the stage is very
intimidating!

We arrive REALLY early on the day of the event ..
Painstaking preparations are made ...
So that we are ready for these early risers. They are ready to make
those strides ..
Where else can you do a group dance..
At 7:30 on a chilly October morning.
These people are dancing like they are at a late night dance club
..AWESOME.
The sun begins to arrive and the crowd is way into the dancing mode.
These ladies will be ready for their strides .. oh yes .. they will be
ready.
This is a huge event and has attendance in the thousands. You should
come out and check into it.
The crowd waits to hear from the opening ceremony speakers.
Jazzercize !
WCRZ always shows up for the event. We love working with Rod and Chris.
The sun's rays start to make their way into the crowd. All vampires
should have escaped by now !
It is getting closer ..(the sun's rays .. you knew we meant that)
Keep Jazzercising !
The view from the DJ. Look at the technology in play here. We really
have alot of S**T (stuff)
Rod and Chris pose with Channel 12's representative of the day. We
missed Taryn this year.
We thought it unusual to have so much empty space at such a big event ..
So we asked three people to fill the void ..
More empty space ..with walkers in the background.
"Dancing with Myself" ..
