Relay For Life Photos

Lake Orion/Oxford, 2004

2004 was our first appearance at the Lake Orion / Oxford event.  Coincidentally it was also the first year for the event.  We ran the gamut of weather that day, with a severely threatening storm that almost took us out.

Setting up the stage.

Girls making requests or announcements.  Hmmm, Candy (in the hat).

More requests and announcements.

Lance and Don (Midnight Music) arm-wrestle to the death.

Lake Orion dance squad.

One of the many performers from the event.

Jim's wife Laurie, who frequently visits us at the events.

Lance and Jim not only hold down the console, but also the tent...

...while the blue sail helped almost make the thing airborne.

Onlookers...

...girls on the high jump matt...

...funny magicians...(Chris Linn)

...and a box car derby. How much fun do you need?

The wind was terribly fierce that day,

as evidenced in these photos

of tents being bent over under it's force...

...the entire length of the field.

Jennifer, our good friend from the American Cancer Society.

These girls kept on asking for Michael Jackson, so we made them dance when we played it.

A look at the fierce sky that we were dealt that day. High winds, severe rain, and tornado warning. Ironically, we got about 15 minutes worth of rain.

The Bacon Brothers...no relation to those other Bacon brothers...with that one actor guy who was in Footloose.

The Group Dance gets underway, with optional Sumo wrestlers.

The Cha-Cha slide is a great dance to start off with - and this group knew it well!

Since this was our first appearance on a stage in the MIDDLE of the field...

we were able to have our participants...

surround the stage...

as we did two of our favorites,...

"The Hokey Pokey",...

with our

right arms in...

our left arms out...

and turning ourselves about.

You know, that old chestnut.

And of course The Chicken Dance

(Photo out of sequence, should be Hokey Pokey)

Do chickens really dance?

Go, Greased Lightning!

You're burnin' up the Quarter Mile!

YMCA

YMCA-AY

You can get yourself clean.

Lance, with optional red-eye.
