This the oldest (and ugliest) picture of us at a Relay. Actually,
this was a Polaroid, and is from the Holly event from 1996. This was
the first event we did. We ended up doing Holly 4 times, but the
event was inflexible and, thus, doesn't take place any more. |
Clowning around at the Farmington Hills event in 1996. At this
event we were set up underneath a large tent. Back then the events
were only 6 hours long, and to our knowledge this is the only event that
Farmington Hills ever had. If that's the case, we're proud to have
been the only DJs to ever do it! Lance's head got cut off in this
picture, but rest assured he felt no pain. |

These next few photos are from the Rochester event in
1996. This event was held on the same field where they hosted the
World Soccer Championship. This was also the first event that we
performed on a Show Mobile. They make for a great performance
because you're elevated, illuminated, and kept (mostly) dry if it rains.

Coupla clowns, eh?

Doing the DJ thing.

A view from across the field after the sun went
down. This is the farthest away we've ever been from the crowd and
we weren't allowed to walk on the field itself and the track actually went
behind the Show mobile to keep damage to the soccer grass to a
minimum.

This is the only known picture to exist from the one-and-only event we
did in Southfield, which was in 1998. We had enormous difficulty as
the event progressed because of the over-riding radio frequency that
wreaked havoc with our wireless microphones. Within site were at least
5 broadcasting towers. End result? Corded microphones.

Here we are accepting a framed picture of our
performance at the Warren event in 1998. The extremely nice
lady presenting us with the award is Elisha Major. She's
another one of the super people that makes the Relay for Life such an
awesome event. We have no idea who the guy to the right is, but he
we remember him being really helpful.
