Relay For Life Photos

Anchor  Bay, 2005

The Anchor Bay event in 2005 was the first (and only) time we did this event.

It was also our 50th event for the American Cancer Society.

What kind of recognition did we get for this landmark event???  Absolutely NONE!  We didn't even rate an introduction to the crowd during the opening ceremony.  But we're not bitter.

The Opening Ceremony of our 50th! event...

The event committee who not only didn't recognize our 50th event...

...but didn't even introduce us to the crowd...but we're not bitter.

The 50th survivor lap we have witnessed..

in 10 years of Relay for Life Events ..

and witnessing the amazing support of our military, the area merchants...

.. the local people on hand to participate or just have fun..

..and the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Old Glory makes the rounds at the Anchor Bay event.

A first for all of the events. This gentleman ..

proposed to this woman while we played their favorite song.

Do you think she said "Yes"?

Another first was this tractor pulling a bunch of beer kegs .. too bad they were empty .. oh right .. no alcohol :-)

Ashley asked very nicely and politely if she could karaoke to the crowd while her father watched.

We were glad we agreed to let her sing as she blew the crowd away with her voice.

Our 50th event was no exception to the rule that pretty girls will come on stage to say hello and pose for pictures.

This group was honoring the memory of their friend and brother. What a great group of people.

"Yabba-dabba-do!", Fred and all his pals showed up for our 50th event.

They came all the way from ..

Bedrock !

Hmm .. not sure why there are two Bamm-Bamms. They did not have cloning back in the stone age .. did they?

A hippie came to the 50th event to revive the "tie-dyed" look to all the tshirts.

Ashley decided to be a bell ringer for one of the hourly turnaround events.

Along time ago .. in a galaxy far, far away ..

Star Wars!  Coming to a Relay for Life near you. You'll laugh ..you'll cry .. you will gladly give the bucks and say goodbye.

These guys were such good Blues Brothers impersonators...

...that they made the original guys look like fakes!

Blues Brothers groupies !

They had such a good time. They made the Blues Brothers very happy.

Jasen Magic.  Magician/Comedian...

...from China.

"Hey .. can you tell me if she is sleeping"

"Wake up .. will you? We've got drag queens on the stage."

Two young women from the event that participated in all of the group dances.

Now there is something you do not see every day. Who says it is never too late to start exercising.

Relay for Life is full of surprises. Like this auction to dump water on a city councilman. The ice was removed from the bucket .. thank goodness.

She has been waiting all year to hit the Mayor in the face with a pie!

The 50th Jim and Lance Show group dance segment! This is a good "Cha-Cha Slide" crowd.

How low can you go?

The 50th group dance had the Macarena...

The Chicken Dance ..

and of course .. The Hokey Pokey.
